Two Events, One Crew: From Cody Jinks to “I Do”
How the same building blocks power concerts and weddings on the same day.
On a Saturday in September our crew at Forty Two Inc. did what we do best: proving that great events—no matter how different—are built on the same foundation. That night, we delivered production for two very different experiences, each equal in scale but opposite in tone.
At the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Cody Jinks brought thousands of country fans to their feet with a powerhouse performance. Meanwhile, across town, an elegant wedding unfolded with precision lighting, pristine audio, and a sense of intimacy that only careful planning can deliver.
The Same Building Blocks
What do a full-scale amphitheater concert and a luxury wedding have in common? More than most people realize.
Both rely on sound systems that carry every word and note, lighting that sets the atmosphere, and crew members who anticipate every cue. From load-in to load-out, the tools may be the same—consoles, cabling, trussing, fixtures—but how they’re applied changes everything.
Why It Works
Our approach is simple: we don’t separate “concert gear” from “wedding gear.” We treat every event as a moment that can’t slip. That mindset allows us to move seamlessly between massive stages and intimate ballrooms—even in the same day.
It’s not unusual for our crews to cover a dozen shows, weddings, and corporate events in a single weekend. That day in September was just one example, highlighting the versatility of our people and our process.
The Forty Two Difference
Whether it’s an amphitheater packed with fans or a ballroom filled with family, the heart of our work is the same:
- Reliable gear — maintained and ready for any scale.
- Experienced crews — calm under pressure, precise under deadlines.
- Creative execution — tailored to the event’s personality.
That’s how Forty Two can deliver concerts and weddings, in the same city, on the same night—without compromise.
